Title: DNS-313 and Mac OSX 10.7.3 (aka Lion)
Post by: walrus87 on February 02, 2012, 10:54:14 AM
Hello everybody,
I'm a brand new user and I'm a bit dissappointed because I couldn't find a section for my d-link nas: DNS-313.   >:( :-[ :( ::) :) :P :-* ;D

Anyway I thought to post here, in his elder brother's section.
I've upgraded my macbook to Lion and my nas has stopped to work.
I couldn't access it anymore 'cause Apple remove SMB modules from the new OS.
So I had to donwgrade again to snow leopard.

Now, with the 10.7.3 release, they should have fixed this problem, so I would like to know if there's somebody here with a mac computer running Lion and a nas DNS-313/323 (I think it's the same) that could confirm me that they work fine together.

I wish it's not a problem for mods if I posted here, but I really didn't know where to do it! (you can move it wherever you reckon it deserves, except for the bin, thanks :) )
thanks for help and care.
cheers

It broke my dns-312 links BUT you can get them back.
Find the IP address of your DNS (like 192.168.something); you may have to login to your router and look at the Attached Devices section.

In finder, click GO, then Connect To Server
in the box, enter     smb://192.168.something..

good luck

No, maybe I didn't make myself clear.
If I connect to the nas my mac finds the nas but it doesn't allow me to access it because of permissions...
I know its ip and I can connect to it, but Lion don't give me the chanche to access any folder...
