Post by: cato on March 10, 2009, 09:47:26 AM
 :-\

My 655 keeps rebooting in 3 mins to 1 hr.
the router has beed flashed from 1.20 to 1.22 (newest beta). now i am using 1.21EA. the problem is still occur.
now i changed the wifi channel width to 20Mhz. it seems stable. but i need to test it for longer time.
i doubt it is the wifi problem (maybe the draft N problem). anyone got the final solution on that router??

p.s. the router h/w ver. A4. shipped with 1.20EA firmware.

Where are you located and where did you purchase the router?

At least a couple people have reported having some reboots associated with the NTP time server option.  I'd go back to 1.22b05 and start with disabling the time polling, make sure I put my settings in from scratch, and then start disabling extraneous options.

Good Luck

Did you load the saved config file in the new firmware? If so, reset to factory default and manually configure the router.

Been experiencing this but on a different router model.  I have narrowed to down to a possible wi-fi radio problem if/when multiple Ethernet cables are connected onto the ports. The router works correctly when used only with the Ethernet cables (wireless disabled.) The tests I have done:

- different firmware versions
- different wireless adapters
- Tried either the D-Link configuration manager and Window Wireless Zero Configuration
- different Internet access (cable and DSL)
- different PCs
- different "physical" areas (home and other place

I have replaced my router and the replacement unit is "behaving" correctly.
