Not sure if this is even possible as it could be a hardware limitation on the network port just like the lack of jumbo-frame feature.

Have you ever tried this app from Android market? It claims it works with NASs from several manufacturers, including D-Link

If you cannot wake up the NAS from a PC/MAC by sending the "magic packet" then it won't work from the Android phone either. From what i saw, the NAS doesn't have the hardware or at least the kernel implementation for Wake On Lan support.
