Title: One Minute Limit on All Other Networks
Post by: ash on February 10, 2012, 08:17:01 AM
I know this has been discussed in other posts, but I haven't found a solution. I have several 932L cams, but unless I am on my home network, there is always a one minute limit. It doesn't matter how I'm connecting...iPhone, iPad, Kindle Fire, web browser...I am still only allowed one minute when trying to view my own cameras.

It isn't the router; it is being connected to any other wireless network.

Does anyone know if there is a fix for this yet? It is very annoying.

As I mentioned as a reply to your previous post on the wishlist thread, Tthe one minute time limit is not a feature that can be turned on/off, but rather an issue that exists between the router settings and mydlink (not the DCS-932L).

Then what can be done about it? I can't change everyone else's routers that I use.

I was at someone else's home who used D-link and their camera didn't have the limit since it was their home network. I was connected to the same network, same router, and yet mine had the one-minute limit while trying to view my home cameras.

I have Logitech cameras that don't do this, so it is a mystery to me why these do. I really, really don't want to have to sell the D-link cameras, so I was hoping someone could help.

The only router settings you need to be concerned about is the router to which the DCS-932L is physically or wirelessly attached.

UpNP must be enabled on the DCS-932L and on the router on the network to which the DCS-932L is connected

Thank you both. I've tried, but I guess my 2Wire modem doesn't support UPnP. Thanks anyway.
