so i have downloaded the gpl source tarball and have been trying to build this toolchain/firmware but have ran into this issue which i have posted at the ubicom forums(reply 2 in the thread):

seems to be a toolchain build issue.

I have forward this on to my contact at DLink. Might need to make contact with DLink directly for this.
