I changed my network setup, which used to work perfectly, and now I have an issue I could use help with:
Problem:PS3 cannot detect media server.
My thoughts: The DNS-323 is hooked up to a DIR-655 router, but the PS3 is hooked up directly to Modem. Do I need to create virtual server on DIR-655 to allow media server to be forwarded to modem properly, and in order to do that, do I need the ports that the Media Server uses?
Setup:
Wall (Internet) -------- Modem ------- DIR-655 ------ DNS-323
|
|
PS3
Notes:
1. php is enabled everywhere I can find it.
2. When I connect the ps3 directly to the router, the media server works fine.
Any advice?
Thanks!!!

Routers are used to connect networks whilst keeping them separate - so you have separated your one network into two "sub-networks" and the router now blocks the traffic.
Remove it - or connect the PS3 to the same network as the DNS-323.
