Did you factory reset the router and reconfigure from scratch?
Most reasons for dropped packets is due to interference on the line coming from ISP service lines up, to an thru the ISP modem.

Have the ISP check the signal on the lines up to the modem. Ensure phone lines are properly filtered and connected correctly. If using cable ISP, then make sure the cable line going to the ISP modem is in good condition and not using more than one GOOD quality t.v. line splitter. None is preferred though.

Have the ISP swap out the old modem for a new one or buy our own. Most ISPs allow having your own modem.

thanks for quick reply.
i'm not factory reset the router yet, if necessary i will do it.
the infrastructure in israel called "HOT" , and the know about poor quality connection, they suggest with my ISP to cancle the L2TP connection and go to MPLS permanent connection with static ip, the problem is the traffic shaping that in MPLS i don't get.
can i factory default the router from the web interface or i need to put clip in the unit?

If MPLS doesn't have any traffic shaping then the 655 router can probably do that function as it has that feature built in.

You can factory reset the router on the web page using Tools/System.

ok i'm factory reset to default settings the router now.
something is very weired in my unit, i configure DNS addresses of my ISP, the router connecting
and then disconnecting and can't connect anymore.
i decided to reset because the dialer is keep to drop connection and it's freakin me out.
i hope that after reconfigure the router he works wellm otherwise he get screwd up.

Dialer? Is this the ISP Modem?
Try leaving the DNS entries zeroed out and let the router automatically set up the DNS. I'm wondering if the modem is loosing the connection or maybe a compatibility issue with between the router and modem.

I would test the router on a different modem, say at someone else's house that has internet and a different modem, family, friend or neighbor and see if the problem tracks, if so then router could be faulty.

when i said dialer i mean L2TP connection, and i don't have friends to check the router with.
my only friend with cable modem that i know is living very far from me in another area of israel, so i think the test isn't relevant, maybe i'm wrong.
it's very weired situation that this router is much expensive and a lot of issues on him.
the wireless signal in basement isn't stable like other brands of routers like linksys and edimax.

I would try a different router then and see if it happens there. If so then you'll know. I would call up your local DLink support office and see if this unit needs to be RMAd.

i called to local d-link in israel, they will replace my unit to another one if the problems continue.
and another problem: i can't access to your forum from my network on 013 netvision, the error message i get: you are banned from this forum (spammer)
but i'm not spammer, and i don't spam or attack your forum, i'm just a standart user that post problems with my product from israel, please check this.
and thanks again about your effort to resolve my issues.

Someone else on your network might have been a banned user on the forums and your IP address might be in the range of the banned network. Let us know if you have any more issues getting in and will fix that.

thanks to you.
please notify me when it happens.
your service is much better from the service in israel, in israel they only know how
to sell the product, after you buy, they don't really care if you have any issues.
i don't get a real customer service on my country.
