Title: Range is a little short?
Post by: SpongeGuard on February 26, 2012, 10:11:33 AM
I seem to get worse range on the DIR-655 than I did on the DIR-615. I was able to walk out to the parking lot with 1 bar of signal on my phone with the DIR-615. I can get about half way there before I have no signal now that I've got the DIR-655.
Are there some settings to disable that might be playing a role in this? I've got the router configured for wireless N only, could that have something to do with it?

What range do you get with Single mode G?

Try with SHORT GI and WMM enable turned off. Try Mixed G and N then N only again.
