Title: LED indicator lights, problems
Post by: t121anf on February 28, 2012, 11:09:44 AM
anyone had problems with led indicator lights for power and hard drives?

since i plugged my ups into the usb port one of the drive leds went out, noticed today that no lights were on at all yet everything seems to be ok.

ran a smart scan and and i now have some lights again.

anyone had similar problems?

not fussed if its just the lights but still they should work.  (using firmware 2.00 as its doing everything i need)

Seem like it's quite common problem for the LED light(s) to fail maybe due to prolong usage (running 24x7). If your is still under warranty, send it for RMA.

Firs excuse my bad English

I have the same problem, but this is a new equipment (i sent other with the same problem with RMA) and this latest function ok the LED's "two months only", now is dead the HDD Left led.  :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(

I'm a electronics technician and I'll to disassembly the NAS because I supposed that the problems is the SMD resistor for LED's power common point (first I need open and test the circuit).  This resistor maybe has less power and when function 24x7 is overheat and change his resistor value and finally fail.
