Hi All,
Does Hitachi know about this issue,
Did anybody talk this to a customer Representative. May be Hitachi technical support & D-link both together could solve this issue.

I have a similar problem on same hard drives. I have found that re-installing the configuration file I have saved brings the drives into view right away . It reboots in that process but for me a simple soft restart has not worked. But having gotten that far, it then starts asking me for my user name and password, which normally it wouldn't on my home network.Tried recreating the network location, doesn't work.Tried re-writing all user names and passwords, doesn't work. Tried re-flashing the firmware, doesn't work. This started after a power outage. Came in to find the server off. Powered up, etc... I'm wondering if the fix is going to involve a firmware update? Can firmware be updated with the drives taken out so as to preserve data ,or do they have to be re-formatted? Meanwhile, can't get to my music, photos, etc.

If you read the last post on the locked thread you will see we have already found a solution but it is a firmware fix and will take time to implement. Please don't make more threads than neccessary on this topic.

Thanks, look forward to update. Meanwhile, final note. Seems it was the shortcuts that were the problem. When I accessed it directly from the network page (not My Computer) alles ist gut.
