My printer Brother HL 2140 is shown in the shareport plus utility but it cannot connect to it.
I update both the router and the printer to the latest firmware, but the problem still remains.
The printer works perfectly fine when directly connected to the Win 7 (64bit) PC.
-
Uninstall SparePort and download the lastest version v4.00 from the DIR-827 web page and try that.
Make sure the driver for the printer is already installed as well.
-
I already have version 4.1 (31/05/2011) installed from the DIR 645 download page.

Some things to try:
Turn off ALL QoS or Disable Traffic Shaping (DIR only) GameFuel (DGL only and if ON.) options. Advanced/QoS or Gamefuel.
Turn off Advanced DNS Services if you have this option under Setup/Internet/Manual.
Turn on DNS Relay under Setup/Networking.
Setup DHCP reserved IP addresses for all devices ON the router. Setup/Networking
Ensure devices are set to auto obtain an IP address.
Set Firewall settings to Endpoint Independent for TCP and UDP under Advanced/Firewall.
Enable uPnP and Multi-cast Streaming under Advanced/Networking.
Turn off all anti virus and firewall programs on PC while testing. 3rd party firewalls are not generally needed when using routers as they are effective on blocking malicious inbound traffic.

I just tested with my old notebook (Lenovo X301, Win 7 64bit). On this everything works great. My current notebook is an Asus UX31, Win 7 64bit.
Is there any Windows USB configuration that need to be changed?
-
SO the Old LT works and prints however this new LT doesn't?
There isn't any USB configuration to tweak that I know of.
-
Exactly, do you have any other idea?
-
I don't. Only thing would be to check the settings on each computer and try to see if there both set up the same in networking and such.
Make sure all 3rd party security is OFF or allows for this kind of traffic.
Turn off Windows Firewall or set a exception for Shareport.
About it.
