I bought the unit last January 12 2012 and i have been using ever since until March 02 2012 i suddenly lost internet connection and when i check my router i found out the LAN leds were off including the internet LED and only my Power LED is on but is steady ORANGE usually its green.
I soft reboot the modem by unplugging the power from the outlet and let it stay for 10 seconds, plugged it back in. same thing happens.
Researched the internet and found out about resetting the router. i did and it worked for a while. i let it rest but March 03 again it went down. solid ORANGE LED on my power and i could even contact customer support.
can i get some lovin here :'( ?

What Hardware version is your router? Look at sticker under router.
What Firmware version is currently loaded? Found on routers web page under status.
What ISP Service do you have? Cable or DSL?
What ISP Modem do you have? Stand Alone or built in router?
What ISP Modem make and model do you have?
If this modem has a built in router, it's best to bridge the modem. Having 2 routers on the same line can cause connection problems.
I would contact your ISP service and ask them to help you bridge the modem. If the modem can't be bridged then I would use the DMZ feature of the modem and input the IP address that the router gets from the Modem on put that in the modems DMZ.
Some things to try:
Ensure DNS IP addresses are being filled in under Setup/Internet/Manual? You can find these under Status/Device Info/Wan section.
Turn off ALL QoS (DIR only) GameFuel (DGL only and if ON.) options. Advanced/QoS or Gamefuel.
Turn off Advanced DNS Services if you have this option under Setup/Internet/Manual.
Turn on DNS Relay under Setup/Networking.
Setup DHCP reserved IP addresses for all devices on the router. Setup/Networking
Ensure devices are set to auto obtain an IP address.
Set Firewall settings to Endpoint Independent for TCP and UDP under Advanced/Firewall if you have this option.

I have quite the same problem.
In my case, I was working ok and suddendly I lost internet connection.
I disconnected both router and cable modem from power.
After connecting again, cable modem is ok but router turns on power light only and ORANGE.
What does ORANGE power light mean? I could not find it on the manual.

Hi,
Just trying to guess...
- May be a power supply issue. Sometime, power supply are designed too tight and they may suffer and be spoilt after some time.
- If not, could be a firmware issue (very bad) since the power LED is blinking orange during 10-20s when the router is not faulty.
What F/W (firmware) version do you have on the sticker on the router ?
So, in both, could be that the CPU is stuck on some very early boot up stage...
If it's the case, better ask D-Link for RMA because you will never been able to reach the boot loader page to reflash the firmware.
On my side, my recently updated router gave me an orange blinking WAN LED without any reason.
I just switched off / on the router to "fix" this.
I hope I'm not going to get the same problem that you are facing guys.
Good Luck with D-Link support ! ;)
