Hi there.
I have 2 problems with my brand new DCS-932L camera:
1. Wizard cannot find my camera (active x ok, connection ok, light is green, wired) and shows "no cameras found". What's wrong?
My router is Asus WL-500gP and he can see my camera. His firewall disabled, forwarded and tried ports 80, 800 and stopped at 5556 (100% open). I can configure my camera using web interface and everything is ok except mydlink wizard. Firmware 1.02b3. Any suggestions?
2. Using web interface my live video shows bad view (lines with some colors, sound also isn't ok with bad noices). This happens when I marked Java. If it's still image it is ok, not happy only with Java. I have a few PC's @ home and the problem is only with my laptop. Java updated in all computers with latest version. Any help?

Hi,
1 - Try to enable upnp on your router. Once done, turn it off.
2 - Sound: Nothing to do, sound is buggy on this camera. Java: Try another browser. Lines: Try to ajust frequency 50/60Hz and anti-flickering on your camera (once you'll have access to its configuration control panel) ;)

1. I will try it.
2. All browsers tried, nothing changed - sound and video same. Worked with frequency and also nothing.
Will try anti-flickering.
Thanks.

I to am having video issues. Fast flickering/pixilation. I have tried 3 different browsers. Multiple computers. Java is updated. But video is fine using the Android app to view.
I have upnp enabled and port 80 forwarded. Anti flicker.
I have reset the camera and reset up everything still no improvements.
Any suggestions?
Thank you for any help.

Same problem from many computers and browsers: WinXP, Win7, IE8, FF11, GC18.
I have 3 DCS-932L. 2 with 1.00 firmware and another with 1.02
It happened after Java update to 6.31. Before I had 6.29
I tried to go back to 6.29 but no luck. I even went back to an earlier restore point.
A fresh install of Win7 with Java 6.29 is ok. But after upgrade to Java 6.31 it's broken.
Even after restore to a point before Java.
Is it a Java problem or is it related to the Camera?
I can view all cameras ok in HTC (Android) with tinyCam Monitor.

Still no solution to this:
Using web interface my live video shows bad view (lines with some colors)
This happens when I mark Java. Still image is ok.
I have the latest Java (Version 7 Update 4).
Even if I use MyDlink it's the same bad video.

If the live video always shows these visual artifacts (regardless of the client device), I'm inclined to say that there may be something wrong with the DCS-932L and you may consider either returning the unit to the point-of-purchase or requesting a replacement from D-Link.

Thanks for your reply.
I have 3 DCS-932L and all of them have the same bad picture.
I can view all cameras ok in HTC (Android) with tinyCam Monitor.
That's why I think the problem is somewhere else.

In lieu of this new information, I wholly agree with you.
You said that using the mydlink website generates the same artifacts? Did you try using mydlink from different PCs (or has your testing been confined to one PC)? (Lets put mobile devices aside for now).

Now I've tried these:
1. Laptop Win7 64bit IE FF GC Java32+64 7.4
2. Desktop WinXP 32bit IE FF GC Java 7.4
3. Desktop Win7 64bit IE FF GC Java32+64 7.4
This was ok at first with a fresh install of Win7 with Java 6.29.
But after upgrade to Java 6.31 it's broken.
Even after restore to a point before Java. Now it has Java 7.4
I have not deliberately changed anything in Java config, but anyhow I think the problem is related to Java.
The picture is only a lot of colors like a coded transmission. Impossible to see what it is.
4. Laptop Win7 32bit FF Java 6.31 ok
This is the only one that's ok now.
I don't dare to upgrade Java on it

Looks like you unearthed an issue. A new Java build was also the culprit of some connectivity issues with myDlink and Firefox early last fall, which were subsequently resolved with updates. :-\

Then I suppose many must have the same problem. Very annoying.
What version of Java do you have yourself?
Is your video ok?

I'm using Java build 1.6.0_25-b06 and disabled automatic updates without notification. If it isn't broken, don't fix it. ;)

what happens if you connect via an ethernet cable? can you see through your camera?
I have a 932L and a 930L , the latter I can't get recognized. Fortunately I had this very long ethernet cable so I have one IP and the other via cable, but I would try the cable just to check that the camera is working and that you can connect to it and then go from there.

It's the same when I connect with cable. I have this problem on all of my computers except one.
It is a Laptop Win7 32bit FF Java 6.31

The connection is fine. I can manage the cameras on every computer and also look at the still picture.
But when I click "Java" the picture turns to just colored lines.

Same issue here...I think its a java issue. Any ideas ?

Hello, I have the same problem, but found, that it is caused by NOD32 antivirus. The problem is at all PCs running NOD32 not depending on JAVA version. I tested it on PC without NOD32 and after installing NOD32 the problem occurred and after deinstalling disappeared.
When I use iSPY to watch the camera it is working with JPEG setting. MJPEG is not working.

Try this:
Open NOD32, and press F5
This should bring up the Advanced setup menu.
Expand the Web and email tree, then click on Protocol filtering
Uncheck Enable application protocol content filtering
Click OK
