Title: Firmware 1.06 FTP problems
Post by: alphalt on March 15, 2009, 10:08:03 AM
Hello,

I'm using firmware version 1.06 and can't download files from FTP that is larger than 4 GB. Has anyone of you have the same issue ? If I try to use FileZilla for this then download breaks at 4GB and thats all. Sometimes it downloads forever, I mean if file is 5 GB it download 7 GB and keeps downloading telling me that download will take forever. There is no problems with files less than 4GB. I use NTFS file system to download to, so this is not a problem. Please tell me what it may be the problem. Thanks in advance.

Regards,
alpha

Hello, I've heard of this one before, but not with the DNS-323. I had a linux box and a friend was ssh'ing in to download large files (over 4GB), but it would crash. The problem was with the ssh client - for some reason it had a bug. He switched clients (did CLI instead o***UI) and it worked fine. Maybe if you ditch your FTP client and use another. Try the command line instead.
