Title: "Wireless adapter not found!"
Post by: amandasmith on March 09, 2012, 04:08:08 PM
I've just purchased this adapter and after installing the drivers/software - I attempt to boot the wireless connection manager or the connection wizard. When trying the connection manager nothing happens at all. However when I attempt to load up the connection wizard I get the "Wireless adapter not found!" message every time. The DWA-130 is connected, it's listed in my device manager where it's supposed to be and it has the most current drivers! What is going on here?! =)

Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks!

Has anyone have a solution to this problem that I am also experiencing? I got the "wireless adapter not found" right after the driver installation using the setup.exe but yet I see the adapter is listed in Device Manager, meaning it has successfully been installed. The light on the adapter does not lit up, confirming the driver has not been installed OK as indicated on the installation guide?

I have tried the installation on Vista (32bit) and Win7 (64bit) with fresh Windows installation, i.e. installing the driver without anything else. However, no success in both.

I thought it would be as easy as "plug and play". Now getting very annoyed after spending hours on re-installation and researching for the solution.  :'(

Any help and suggestion would be highly appreciated!
