Title: DNS 321 indicator lights

I looked through the documentation, but cannot find the answer.

I have four different indicator lights:

Left drive, right drive, network activity? and the tall blue light bar in the center.

I assume the network activity is just that and also each drive indicator, but when no activity the stay on solid. Is this correct and by design?

Also what does the tall center vertical bar light for?

I'm no expert, but I assumed the non flashing of the drive lights is by design.  Otherwise, I'd assume there is no drive installed in that particular bay.

Ethernet light...as you said.

I too am curious if the longer, center light has any functionality beyond cosmetics/show power is on.  I like the light.

If it's anything like the older sibling, the 323, the center light will dim when the unit hibernates.

I think fordem nailed it.  Left and right drive lights indicate that a drive is installed and ready (spinning or on standby, it's still a solid light).  Flickering indicates activity.  Center network light is solid to indicate it's connected, flickering indicates activity.  The center bar is lit when the drives are spinning, out when they are on standby.

The Tall blue LED indicated unit status, the middle LED indicates network traffic and the HDD LEDs indicate the HDD being accessed.
