Title: Jumbo Frames
Post by: 2001BRG149 on March 13, 2012, 07:13:06 AM
Does the DIR-645 support Jumbo Frames?  I couldn't find any information on Jumbo Frames in dlink's support area.

Thanks!

I might presume that it does not. It's a pretty much low end kind of router meant for general use or the average home user. Any extra high end features seen in higher end networking is probably not seen in this router. You could use a external Gb switch with this router that supports JF. I have a 24pt on the back on my router.

Thanks for the reply.

You know, sometimes the simplest solution is right in front of you. I also have a 24 port switch supporting Jumbo Frames behind the router. If I move two cables, my problem is solved.

Have a good day....
