Title: Can you use European B1 firmware on North American dir 655 B1

Just wondering. Can you use European B1 firmware on North American dir 655 B1? Any one know the Answer?

No. FW is different.

On the European Forum it seems like there is a firmware to lock the dir 655 at 40 mhz.

How come North America does not have firmware like that?

NA uses different frequencies then EU does and NA is bound by different rules regarding these frequencies than EU is.
