Pulled out my old 323, stuck in a couple of old drives, updated the firmware to 1.10, Reset to defaults.
Now the problems:
There is NO NFS option (not grayed out -bot there).
Can't connect without PW.
Can't Map drive (even when I'm in the EasySearch app.
This is a home network.
Should I go back to 1.08 fw?
TIA

load ALT-F, way better than stock

What is ALT-F ? how does one load it?
-
It's alternate firmware for DNS 323. Google "dns 323 alt-f" buddy.
Just download the bin file, load it as DLINK firmware upgrade.
The version I am using is "Alt-F-0.1RC2.bin"

Thanks, I am just reading about FUN_PLUG is this something similar? FP appears to run under the regular D-link firmware, where ALT-F replaces the firmware?
Is there a need for FP if ALT-F is used?
thanks and sorry for all the questions

The ALT-F .bin file replace the stock firmware completely.
Yes, it has FUN_PLUG built-in and many plug-in you can play with.
Some features I love is:
- Support bigger 2TB HDD
- Transmission torrent download is so good
- The miniDLNA is better than stock DLNA

Press the reset button to remove return the unit to default configuration. You should be fine after that.
