traffic management is a complex task

use pipe and pipes commands on CLI to trouble shot the traffic behavior flowing through the pipes

remember when manging traffic to make sure you are piping  :P  all the trafic

be careful shaping incoming connections traffic because forward and returning traffic invert it roles when piping by example
