Title: DWR-530: Cant do VPN when in router mode

Just purchased the above mentioned modem router last week and I am having problem in connecting to my office's vpn in router mode. There is no problem if I am using modem mode. I am using Windows 7 built-in vpn. Please advise.

PS: I had contacted your support (via email last week. Phone 2 days ago and been told advance support will call me back) and getting no response.  >:(

I would Call your local DLink support office an inquire about these modes and what they support. Possible that VPN is only supported in modem mode.

What region are you located?

Although the number is local, it was routed to their regional call center.

Anyway, I just called them again and found out that previous tech support did not escalate my case. Had spoke to the manager and will forward to local support for further resolution.

Seem like this model do not support VPN in router mode. Can't believe that as its newer model.

Tech Support had confirmed that DWR-530 does not support VPN and had replaced it with another model, DIR-457U.

Good info. Hope you find that the 457u works better for you.
