Dear All,
I have a PC with the following OS and Routers
PC: Win 7 x86
iTunes: 10.6
Router: DIR-655 (Firmware Version: B1, 2.06)
My new iPad cannot connect to iTunes for either home sharing or Wi-Fi Sync.
I have check the windows event log and provides the following error lists....
444: ERROR: read_msg errno 0 (The operation completed successfully.)
ERROR: mDNSPlatformReadTCP - recv: 10053
The following ports have been set up in Router Port Forwarding/Virtual Servers
TCP: 3689
UDP: 5353
I have disabled DMZ and enabled Multi Stream Cast, but it seems no use on the problem solving...
The same errors are still provided. iPad cannot in the device list if it is in Wi-Fi connection, no home sharing....
It is very frustrated.
Most appreciated if anyone can help to solve...
As I am not in US, the local supplier latest firmware version is 2.06NA Beta1

If yoru not in the U.S. and in the NA region then not sure if you have the right HW or the FW version to go with it. ALL Rev B routers for NA region are using the last stable version of 2.03NA. There is no beta version for NA units at this time.
What region are you located?
What ISP Service do you have? Cable or DSL?
What ISP Modem do you have? Stand Alone or built in router?
What ISP Modem make and model do you have?
If this modem has a built in router, it's best to bridge the modem. Having 2 routers on the same line can cause connection problems.
To tell if the modem is bridged or not, look at the routers web page, Status/Device Info/Wan Section, if there is a 192.168.0.# address in the WAN IP address field, then the modem is not bridged.
If the modem can't be bridged then see if the modem has a DMZ option and input the IP address the 4500 gets from the modem and put that into the modems DMZ.
Some things to try:
Turn off ALL QoS or Disable Traffic Shaping (DIR only) GameFuel (DGL only and if ON.) options. Advanced/QoS or Gamefuel.
Turn off Advanced DNS Services if you have this option under Setup/Internet/Manual.
Turn on DNS Relay under Setup/Networking.
Setup DHCP reserved IP addresses for all devices ON the router. Setup/Networking
Ensure devices are set to auto obtain an IP address.
Set Firewall settings to Endpoint Independent for TCP and UDP under Advanced/Firewall.
Enable uPnP and Multi-cast Streaming under Advanced/Networking.
What wireless modes are you using? Under Setup/Wireless/Manual.
Try single mode G or N or mixed G and N?
Channel Width set for Auto 20/40Mhz or try 20Mhz only.
Try setting a manual channel to a open or unused channel.
What security mode are you using? Preferred security is WPA-Personal. WPA2/AES Only. Some WiFi adapters don't support AES, so you might want to try TPIK only or Auto.
Any other WiFi routers in the area? Use InSSIDer (http://www.metageek.net/) to find out.
Turn off Short GI, WLAN Partition and Extra Wireless Protection if you have it. Under Advanced/Advanced Wireless.
Turn off all anti virus and firewall programs on PC while testing. 3rd party firewalls are not generally needed when using routers as they are effective on blocking malicious inbound traffic.
Turn off all devices accept for one wired PC while testing.

Asia Pacific. I found the Firmware from my local support at the following link
http://alris1.dlinkddns.com/download/dlink/DIR-655/DIR-655.html
As mentioned, I can do wifi sync or home sharing if i use firmware 2.00...
If the firmware contains problem? What should I do? replace the firmware from NA latest or downgrade to 2.0?

What wireless modes are you using? Under Setup/Wireless/Manual.
Try single mode G or N or mixed G and N?
Single Mode G tried and mixed tried.
If Single Mode G, the wifi sync not started and the device is not able to be recognized in iTunes
Mixed Mode, device list contains iPad, but when updating the items, e.g. delete songs in iPad, iTunes search the iPad, and then suddenly unplug device in iTunes without my modifications...
When referring to Windows Event Viewer, the mentioned error shown...

I would go back to the original version. That link is not supported by DLink, on any NA region routers and on this forum.
If the original FW version works then start there. I would contact your regional local DLink support office for further information on this.
