Hi there.
I just brought a DIR-655 in Denmark and went home and started to install it.
Here is what I done:
- Putted the CD in my pc and started the installation. When I got to the "First installation (recommended)" bottom and pressed it, an error showed up, saying: "Wait... there seems to be a problem. Please check to make sure that your cables bla bla bla bla".
Okay, maybe I should connect the DIR-655 to my network. So I turned on the power, connected the cables and my computer went online a few seconds later.
Then I started the installations-cd again - the same error... Hmm..
When I type "http://192.168.0.1" in my browser I can access the router - but the installation-cd refuses to continue. Why...?
Apparently the system works, but not the guide from the installations-cd.

Can you use the setup wizard on the routers web page?
You can set up the router using it's web page as well.

Yep, I can use the setup wizard on the routers web page - no problem, apparently.
But why doesn't the CD installation work? I think it will be easier for me to set up the router with that guide...

Possible defective CD or programming. Call up DLink if you need one or use the onboard wizard.
Enjoy.
