Title: DIR-655 Ping Problem, Short Downtime on VOIP and Remote?
Post by: netmation on March 22, 2009, 11:27:12 AM
Have a DIR-655 and notice two things that I can't track down the problem, and not sure what to try next.

1. Vonage phone on the network the caller on the other end has our voice go in and out for very short periods, in the middle of sentances.

2. When I remote into another computer I get short delays in the session, and this doesn't happen when I do it from other locations.

Are there settings on the DIR-655 that can improve these types of situations?  Are there analysis tools I could use to help get more information as to what the problem is?  I am running 1.21 firmware, and have Comcast Home Internet which is showing 20,500 kb/s download, and 4,200 kb/s upload.

Thanks for any help.

Have you tried QoS?
