Title: Support for Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 1 TB drive ST31000333AS in DNS 321?
Post by: peralagar on March 25, 2009, 08:39:45 AM
Hi

I bought recently a DNS 321 and looking to buy the Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 1 TB SATA 32 MB (ST31000333AS) for storing my videos and project data.

I have the following questions:
1. Is it compatible with dns 321?  Anybody using it right now?
I just want to know the compatibility, performance w.r to WD drive.

2. I currently have one WD5000ABYS 500GB.  The vide playback is terrible (get stuck then and there) from dns-321 even over the wired-network.
I might be using this unit for my video playback.
Does anybody knows the reason for this or any other suggestion on the right drive (1TB drive) that i can choose for my purpose?

Please share your thougths.

thanks in advance.
