I reported to singapore D-link, and received no responses from them for 1 week. I cant access my DNS-320 so I shut it down, n restarted, it asked me to reformat the hardisk in order to use the DNS. and now it works fine, but all my data is gone. Can anybody explain to me why did this happened?

I doubt that anyone can explain what happened with out knowing a lot more about your system and what you did. For example, what was the condition of the indicator lights, did you try to recover your data by using a SATA / USB caddy and a direct connection to your computer. I could go on but wont.
Your saying that all your data has gone makes me think that you did not have a backup of that data which is something you should consider.

Now, the data is gone because you reformatted the drives after shutdown/reboot.
On why it asked to reformat the drives, hard to tell as mentioned by Ivan. But there could had been a few things you could had tried if you had not done it. such as http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=41400.0 (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=41400.0)
Now, NAS are hardware redundancy in case of a failure.

NAS are not backups!!!! They can be used as backup devices, however, backups means you have multiple copies of the same data and NOT on the same hardware.

Thanks of your reply guys, I dont really care the content of my data, cause I only had a few movies. I just want to know what is the cause of this happen. The condition of my NAS was fine. FTP running, BT running, and I mount my harddisk as standard due to there is only one 2TB hardisk installed. everything is running normally. And now I had a new problem, after I reformat, reboot, setup again, I put some movies into the NAS again, about 50GB, but when I login in by using the web locally, the capacity of hardisk indication remain the same. 1.78TB available total 1.78TB....I tried to do S.M.A.R.T test, it indicates pass.
please forgive my poor English
