Title: Windows 8 not seeing files
Post by: mhilsdon on April 23, 2012, 11:35:40 AM
I've just installed Windows 8 on a brand new PC, I can see the DNS-321 and the two drives contained therein, but I cannot see any folders or files - when I click on a drive it tells me it contains no files. I have run the easy search utility but it doesn't find the device at all. I've tried it Windows Firewall disabled, but still nothing. Any ideas anybody?

When you view the HDDs from Windows, is the Total HDD Size vs. Free Space consistent with the files on the HDDs?

Yes. I've got it working now, I have no idea what the problem was but when I re-booted one of the other PC's on the network I was able the see the files from the new PC. Thanks for your quick response.
