Title: How to unmount from the wall?

So I just screwed a few of these into a few locations and I'm happy with them for now. But I was thinking, now that I put that plate thing back over to cover the screws, I'm not sure how I would actually get back at the screws without breaking something? Has anyone ever removed the backplate from the front?

It was going to bother me last night so I looked at it a bit and took a pair of very pointy knives and used one to get the lip up then the other one to get under it. It popped off easily once I got under it.
