Title: DHP-W306AV disconnect momentarily
Post by: chan.puilai@gmail.com on May 05, 2012, 11:19:14 PM
I have installed D-Link DHP-W306AV and DHP-306AV at my home to extend my wireless broadband from bedroom to dinning room.
I have installed it according to manual by Powerline AV Utility installation wizard and only two Powerline device DHP-W306AV and DHP-306AV discovered and no others.
However, after several minutes the wireless from DHP-W306AV doesn't work. (Windows SSDP show connected to the Powerline ssid but not to the Internet). And several minutes it works again.
And the Powerline keep disconnecting from Internet momentarily. And Powerline LED on Powerline adaptors sometimes off and sometimes green.
I do not use any power adapter at both of the powerline adaptors.
Anybodies also come across with my problem? I also tried to press the "evy button" on DHP-W306AV Extender and it doesn't work as well.

Rgds,

I'm having the same problem.

I've upgraded the firmware of the wireless unit from 1.01 to 1.03 and I made it worse.

It seems the sleeping mode is failing somehow. I'll try to upgrade the non-wireless unit. But that is also a problem as the upgrade software requires windows. (No windows at home).

Any hints?

Any other WiFi routers in the near by vacinity on 2.4Ghz?
Use InSSIDer (http://www.metageek.net/) to find out.
