Recently you guys helped me out with some problems I was having with the wireless schedule forcing a router reset when the schedule was enabled. D-Link eventually conceded that the problm is a faulty router. However, to have the router replaced will take 2 - 3 weeks, meaning I have to buy another router if I don't want to be offline for that long. So I've decided to save up my money to buy a new modem, and I've found that by having wireless enabled at all times works around the problem.
However, around the same time I started diagnosing that problem I was changing various settings, myself and on advice from here. At the time I may not have mentioned I have 2 PS3's here. These stopped being able to connect to the internet at around that time, and the kids tell me they didn't tell me about it because they knew I was working on other router problems, but now they want their PS3's to work on line so they can play online games.
I have tried automatic configuration and manual configuration. I have the MAC addresses in the router, have set them up in the Network filters, and have a DHCP reservations. I have used the routers DNS and also tried OpenDNS addresses.
I keep getting error 80710102 (DNS error), and when I first turn on a PS3 807101FF. Both PS3s exhibit the same symptoms.
Any ideas?
Thanks
Tanya

I would check out the QoS, Gaming and Gamefuel for PS3 In the FAQ Library and see if that will help you get your PS's going.

Maybe you don't have DNS relay checked in the router setups.... or vice versa, but unchecking it will disable any access control items you have running.... since I recall your access control issue from last week or so, then probably you have it checked.
How are the PS3's connecting ? Wired or wireless ?
We have several XBox 360's here running fine, so I should think the PS3's will do the same.... If wireless, turn off all security to get them running at first....then add back the wireless security one step at a time...
If wireless, make sure the routeer is set for at least G & N, if not B G N....
