Ok, I just purchased this new wireless router. I am liking it a lot.
I want to forwards some ports for my PS3 however. I am using portforward.com to do it.
I use IE, I go to port forward, I set everything up like it shows and put in my PS3 IP, and I choose save settings. When it comes back after rebooting, nothing is saved. Everything I put in has vanished.
Right now I'm using DMZ for my PS3, but I don't like that.
Anyone know what is going on? I tried searching, but I didn't really see a resolution in any of them.
My version is this. Hardware Version: B1 Firmware Version: 2.06NA
Thanks guys!

What version of IE are you using? Try change to compatibility mode for IE 8 and 9.
Try using Opera or FF to manage the routers web page.
There is good QoS gaming information in the Information/FAQ Library (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?board=302.0)

I am using IE 9. I was using Firefox as well, but that also did not work. I just tried Chrome right now, and that didn't work. I guess I can download Opera as well, but will that really work?
How do I set compatibility for IE?
Thanks a lot.

On the URL box there is a little paper looking icon with a crack in it. Just click on that.
When you purchased this router did it already come loaded with v2.06 or was there an older version loaded?

Just tried the compatibility mode, and nope, it did nothing. When you update the port forwards, and it says that the settings have been saved, and it starts counting down, the router should restart, right?
I don't believe it is doing that. The icons on the front of the router look unchanged. When my Playstation 3 is on while doing it, it doesn't sign me out. Not sure if it is supposed to restart or not, but my old d-link router would whenever it did that countdown.
Also, this router is brand new, out of the box. I bought it about a week ago and haven't touched any firmware or any of the settings on the admin page.

Any chance you can use a different PC to see if the settings will stick? I'm wondering if there is an issue with this router. Any chance you can take this unit back and get another?
Maybe someone can review your router settings with you using teamviewer (http://www.teamviewer.com) if your interested. Its safe and secure.
