Title: DIR-450, fresh firmware install
Post by: roryred on June 01, 2012, 08:55:03 AM
I have a DIR-450 with Verizon 5750. I would lke to get this working since it will be free for as long as the Verizon card continues to work. It works perfectly in my laptop which has both PCMCIA and Express card slots.

So far, the only firmware that loads and presents an interface that stays up for more than 20 seconds in 1.03... but it doesn't let me select ANY wireless card, country, vendor, etc.

Any ideas? See what I've tried below.

Try 1.
Remove Card, Press reset, Power on, Wait, Release Reset
Upload 1.03
http://192.168.0.1
Setup WWAN, dropdowns are blank for selecting country, provider, etc.

Try 2.
Remove Card, Press reset, Power on, Wait, Release Reset
Upload 1.02 b6_1.02 b6[1].02 b6
http://192.168.0.1
Web page never loads although device responds to ping. No response on telnet to port 23, 80 or 443.

Try 3.
Remove Card, Press reset, Power on, Wait, Release Reset
Upload 1.01-B0013
http://192.168.0.1
Device responds to 10 pings, then fails to respond for 2 minutes. Wash, rinse, repeat. Web interface works for the 10 seconds it is responding to pings.

Try 4.
Remove Card, Press reset, Power on, Wait, Release Reset
Upload 1.00b4[1]
http://192.168.0.1
Same as above... device responds to 10 pings, then fails to respond for 2 minutes. Wash, rinse, repeat. Web interface works for the 10 seconds it is responding to pings.

look up the crash recovery topic and then re-install the 1.03 firmware.
