Ok. my apologies for what is obviously a FAQ, but I read a lot of stuff and I'm still stuck.
basically, I'd like to backup my /home folders to my DNS-325 on a daily basis, and then sync all the local homes by means of this incremental backup.
In case I'm not explaining myself vlearly, I want to have all /home folders to be identical on all computers and on the NAS.
I succeded in defining modules in "/etc/rsyncd.conf", and they are listed by the NAS interface.
trouble is, afterwards, I always get the same "RSYNC Test Failed".
none of what I already read has been of any help, so please... :'(

Type in your password again under apps, remote backup, server, password. After losing power, I have to enter this every time. I was just going to post about this bug and a few others I have in 1.02.

thanks. a few bugs in 1.02 indeed...
Finally, I decided to use a homemade script to rsync my files on every computer with my NAS. works two-ways. saves times.
I really don't like the basic management interface provided by D-Link. ???
