Title: Ethernet ports active in either AP or Bridge mode?
Post by: JoeA on June 07, 2012, 08:14:34 PM
I am planning to hardwire the 1525 from my router as an AP to provide better wireless coverage in my home but wanted to know if in AP mode - are the Ethernet ports active so I can also plug in other devices via hardwire? So in this sense use the 1525 as a switch for some devices and an AP for wireless ones?

I believe you can do that and they are active.

my Dap-1522 works this way, so I believe the 1525 would also work this way.

This is how I have my DAP-1525 set up.  AP mode with 2 devices also connected (My TV and on occasion my MacBook Pro).  No problems

Just bought a Dap-1525. The answer is YES. Have it hocked up to my Dir-857 and worked perfectly. Comp is connected to ethernet on DAP-1525 and my wireless devices connect no problem.
