Hello. I have a few questions not about specific problems necessarily, but rather some issues I don’t quite get. I added the DNS 321 to my network running on the DIR 655, and the DIR 655 also has a DLink gigabit switch that extends the network to my main desktop and another system I use for torrents. I added a 1.5 TB Seagate drive to the DNS 321, and I have another 750 GB Seagate drive in my desktop that I would also like to add once I copy all of the data off of it over to the 1.5 TB drive.
The 750 GB drive is nearly full, and I hoped that I could transfer the entire contents in one move (using simply copy and paste). After a certain amount of time, the transfer will shoot back an error that the “specific network location is no longer available.” Do I have something set up wrong? Is the problem arising from the DNS or the drive on the desktop? My primary concern is that there is a problem with the DNS and that it drops its connection and causes the transfer to fail. Is it an issue with my router or switch? This is taking forever…Any help is much appreciated.
Also of note, I tried to delete some of the files that only got partially transferred to the DNS, and I get an error stating that the file can't be deleted because it is being used by another program.

Windows I presume - did it do this after a reboot as well?
To make your life easier too, just out sync toys from MS.

It was the hard drive hibernation settings under power management. hth

It is very bad, that this forum do not have some kind of tools to organize posts with same problem to some kind of folder. I have the same problem and post it under <<Network dive disconnected message on Vista x64 after transfer lot of ~1GB files>>. About hard drive. How hard drive can go to hibernation when you writing file to it?
