I have recently updated from a DNS-323 to a DNS-325, I had two 2TB drives set to RAID1 and would like to have access to the files on my new DNS but when I plug the old HD in it only sees it but says I have to format the Drive to have access to it. any help?

From what I understand the 325 uses newer Ext3 format for it's HDD-s and is not compatible with older Ext2 format of 323. You should arrange for a read capability of Ext2 (Linux) drive to access the files.
These threads should help:

Is your DNS-323 still functioning? If so, I presume you're not on the market to purchase new HDDs for the DNS-325, otherwise you could simply copy your data from the DNS-323 to DNS-325 via LAN. Unfortunately, as the prior poster described, there is no way to migrate the existing array from the DNS-323 to DNS-325.
From what you describe, it sounds like you may not have a backup of your data. RAID-1 provides redundancy, but is not a backup. DNS-325 - Data Backup vs. Redundancy (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=46508.0). If you don't have a backup of your data, this may be a good opportunity to use the DNS-323 as a backup location (presuming the device still works).
