Title: DGL 4500 NAT ENDPOINT FILTERING question.
Post by: nightwingfx on April 06, 2009, 09:02:16 AM
Greetings everyone,

I have been a frequent visitor of this forum and finally registered!.  I have a question about the settings in the NAT ENDPOINT FILTERING section.

From browsing through this forum I noticed that some suggested to set both UDP/TCP Endpoint filtering to ENDPOINT INDEPENDENT.  Are these settings optimal and secure at all?  Not sure if it's related but do I need to forward ports at all if I used these settings?

Am I better off staying with the default setting such as:

UDP ENDPOINT Filtering - Address Restricted
TCP ENDPOINT Filtering - Port and Address Restricted

Thanks for the help.  I have no clue when it comes to networking  ;D
