Title: 'Read only' problems
Post by: henke054 on June 30, 2012, 03:43:29 AM
Hi there,

I just bought the device and have been moving all my files from various external drives into the DNS, works fine. Also managed to access via web etc. So far so good. But...

When I try to move files in the DNS, from folder to folder, or try to remove. It says I donīt have the rights. I log in as myself, and have given my self read/write. I have a Macbook air computer, and it ask me to type in my password for the user (the mac-username) and then it stops.

What can I do to have full access and control to write/delete on the DNS?

/Henrik

Shouldn't you type your NAS username/password (defined in Account Management), not the Mac ones?
This NAS defaults to SMB (MS Windows) connection even on Mac, so I've set it manually to connect via AFP which is the Mac-native way.
