Title: DCS-2121 Motion Detection problem.
Post by: BanjoBoy on June 30, 2012, 11:44:49 PM
Why does the motion detection (in camera) activate when the camera do a light adjustment because the ambient light changed?

When I look at the recorded video this light adjustment happens from one frame to the next and this trigger the motion detection and camera start to record. In the video no motion before or after this light adjustment. So I get many, many false recordings every day.

What can I do to change this (sensitivity does not help) or is it the software in the camera, if so please D-Link change the motion detect in the firmware, so that it looks for differences over more than just two frames.

Or where can I find surveillance software that work better?

Any help?

Just thinking that these false detection happens because that camera auto adjust to the ambient light?
