I'm new to this networking malarkey and am struggling with something. I'm hoping someone can help.
I recently bought a D-Link DNS-320 NAS system and 2x2tb WD hard drives. I got it all up and running and formatted it in the RAID 1 configuration. So far so good.
I couldn't do the setup via the CD installation disc as my home network had no visibility of my D-Link server so it couldnt find it. After a bit of Googleing I found out I can do it via the internet address of the server. This also went fine.
I'm trying to get the hard drives to appear in My Computer but I'm failing miserably. I think I'm supposed to use the D-Link Storage Utility software to map the drives....is this correct?
My next issue is that this software cannot detect my server via the wi-fi as I assume its linked the my original problem....no visibility.
How can I make my server visible to my network to allow it to appear in My Computer?
I suspect this may well be a Router access issue...if so what settings do I amend?

The CD is not required to access you DNS-320 from your PC.
Mapping your DNS-320 to your PC should adhere to the following format: \\IP_ADDRESS\Volume_1
The IP address references the DNS-320, but the volume name must be called out to access the actual HDDs.
