Title: Can't access dns-320
Post by: d4d0n123 on July 13, 2012, 02:41:59 PM
Hi all,

I've recently changed my wireless router from a netgear to the virgin hub.

Since I had a static IP for the dns-320, I know can't seem to access the box. The box appears on the IP list but I can't browse to it via the IP I set.

The IP's on the virgin hub are 192.168.0.x but the IP on my dns-320 was 192.168.1.x. Is this the problem?

Is there anyway I can get access to it again?

The help is much appreciated as I've got all my personal data on there.

The easiest way is to simply reset the NAS to factory default and reconfigure from start.

The next solution is to plug the NAS directly to your PC and setup static IP address on the PC to the same subnet, in this case 192.168.1.x with subnet mask 255.255.255.0 and reconfigure NAS address.

It's sorted.

I changed the lan Ip on the virgin hub to match that of the box from 192.168.0.x to 192.168.1.x.

Thanks for the help.
