Any encryption on the wireless signal? Verify you have the latest drivers for your wireless adapter? Are there any 2.4Ghz cordless phones nearby, or any other large electronic devices that could cause wireless interference?
-
latest drivers installed
no large devices are phones close to router

I had the same problem with My old laptop - i went out and got a new cordess phone on the 5.8Ghz band, Everything seems to work fine after that.. if in an appartment, a neighbours cordess phone could be your problem.
