Title: Error message: Exceed the playback maximum channels.
Post by: Videomann on July 27, 2012, 06:40:27 AM
Hi,

I have recorded some videos from my four D-Link webcams (DCS-2210). Now I want to playback the videos but if I choose more then one webcam there is an error message coming up: Exceed the playback maximum channels. There is no problem to view a single webcam.

What is the problem? Is this a bug or a configuration problem? The version is 3.3 (but with 3.2 I can see this error message too).

I would contact DLink support, maybe level 2, about this and see. Is there any information in the manual?

Is this in the main console or are you using the Remote Viewer?
Remote Viewer only supports 1 channel at a time.

We are using the main console. Manual: Yes the manual described the procedure but there is just the error message from my original post.

I would phone contact level 2 or higher support and ask if they can help resolve this error message and provide feedback on what the error indicates.

The issue you are observing is a known bug that was reported by multiple users and was previously posted in our D-ViewCam - Wishlist (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=41413.0) thread.

The entry is posted as follows:

Any status if you've contacted DLink support about this on the phone?

@JavaLawyer: Do you know when the bug will be fixed (new version)?

@FurryNutz: No I don't want to contact the support via phone.

Curious as to why? I recommend phone contacting DLink as it should lead to a quick response to this to see if it can be resolved. This needs to be brought to the attention of DLink support as I don't think any resolution will be found here in the forums. We do not have any information on when fixes are released as we are not included in any DLink private information regarding fixes and release dates. The best way to maybe find out anything is to phone DLink and ask them about it and let them know of the issues your seeing since they can not been helped or resolved here in the forums.

Bug - "Although the application supports playback for one or four local cameras, the "Exceed the Playback maximum channels" error-message persists" is already solved??
