Hello all!
While this may not be a problem that I'm looking to get fixed, partly because I fixed it myself, I thought I would though offer this idea to people who might be having similar issues.
Recently the Web Configuration pages became a bit slow and there have been issues with accessing websites.
I decided to open the router to see if it was overheating, and much to my surprise, there was an actual heatsink inside the router. Unfortunately...
...the heatsink is mounted with a patch of glue. I was shocked. I could wiggle this heatsink and it was not even firmly attached to the Ubicom chipset. I managed to pry it off and I felt that the chipset was rather hot. I cleaned off the surface of the chipset and the heatsink with some isopropyl alcohol, added some Arctic Silver 5, and mounted the heatsink. I folded a small amount of cardboard and put it on top of the heatsink so that the cover would provide downward pressure. I turned on the router after I finished, and now it works better.

I encountered this with a video card. The gpu chipset heatsink was "hot glued" to chip. Of course the chips will soften the glue.
