Title: Files Becoming Corrupted!
Post by: Andrew4Life on August 07, 2012, 06:36:03 PM
I was previously running on Version 2.0 and it was running perfectly fine.
I recently got a 3TB hard drive and I had to upgrade to Version 2.02 (what I'm running now) so it would recognize the 3TB hard drive.

For the first little while, it seemed to be working okay, but now it seems files are getting corrupted!

I am torrenting from my computer and set the download location to one of the network drives (I previously also used the network drive for torrenting without any problems), and downloading will have problems. It will sometimes give an element not found error and stop downloading, other times it will download completely, but then when I try to open the file, it says it's corrupted. Doing a force recheck and it seems like nothing was actually saved!!!

OMG! What a terrible Network Attached Storage Drive. More like a Network Attached Recycling Bin!

Sounds like same thing I reported many months ago
http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=46679.0 (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=46679.0)

But there are reports that the latest 2.03 beta fixes it - the link has been removed from the thread about the beta firmware, but you may find it if you work at it.
Would like to know if it fixes anything for you. I haven't tried it.

I can't post the link on here as D-Link USA cannot support the firmware, and will therefore have to remove it. However if you would like the link feel free to PM me :)

I really can't believe how long D-Link have taken and still not released new firmware considering the current one is corrupting peoples data. Absolutely insane.
