Title: DNS-320 - Can I Install a DNS-320 Hard Drive in my Windows PC?
Post by: JavaLawyer on August 14, 2012, 08:29:07 AM
The DNS-320 formats hard drives using the Linux filesystem, rendering DNS-320 formatted hard drives unreadable by Windows PCs without the support of a specialized third party application. If a DNS-320 formatted hard drive is installed in a Windows PC and accessed without the aid of a specialized third party application, the DNS-320 hard drive may be rendered unusable and all data may be potentially lost.

Under no circumstances should a DNS-320 formatted hard drive be mounted and accessed in a Windows PC without the aid of a third party Windows application designed to read volumes formatted using the Linux filesystem.
