Title: Cannot print to USB printer
Post by: pfranz on August 20, 2012, 04:11:09 PM
I've just installed my new DNS-320 with no problems. I've hooked up my printer, and when I look at my DNS-320 through the network I see the printer (called lp). I added the printer to my computer, installed the drivers and when I print ... nothing. The job sits in my queue and never prints. I'm sure it's a bi-directional com issue, but what's the fix? My printer is an HP 3030 (MFP). I don't care about scanning, only printing.

Thanks for your help!

what printer port are you using?

If i remember correctly MFP does not work very well with NAS print servers and also print servers commonly available in routers/modems/switch. I only have a pure printer here which is working seamlessly with it.

Does your NAS detect your printer in the first place (under the system status)?

What OS are you using?

Did you install your printer to use the network printer port?
