Title: DAP-1155 Configuration problem
Post by: pyuill on August 26, 2012, 12:38:26 AM
Hope this the correct place for this query.
I recently bought a DAP-1155 and attempted to configure it by connecting through an ethernet cable to a Windows 7 pc. I was unable to bring up the web wizard at either http://dlinkap or http://192.168.0.50, so I tried another pc. The second config attempt worked and the DAP-1155 works fine. However the first pc is now unable to connect to the internet though any connection, wired, wireless or mobile broadband. Every other device on the router connects fine, but the status of every connection on my first pc is now 'No Internet access'. I have power cycled the router and the pc, no change. Has anyone seem this before?

Regards,
Peter

To access the UI on the DAP, you first need to assign your PC a static IP address. Then you should be able to connect to the DAP using it's IP address.

That's not the issue I have. I managed to get the wizard going on a second pc (without assigning a static ip). The issue is that the attempt to access the wizard on the first pc has seriously damaged something and now I cannot access the internet through any connection on that pc.

I would factory reset everything and start over. Make sure the DAP is correctly connected to the Host modem/router and is setting internet. Make sure that your PCs are getting an assigned IP address from the host modem/router and can get internet as well. Try directly connecting to the host modem/router.
