Hi All,
Just bought DNS-320 Nas enclosure and I'm quite happy with it. Have only one question.
It has a USB port in front of it right...Now, if i would have Male to Male USB Cable can i connect my DNS-320 to a USB device like Laptop or TV will it get detected as USB Drive?
I do have two TVs at home, one of them is SmartTV which can find Media Center and play movies via the network and the other is a bit older which has only USB port.
Now, the question is, is there a way to connect the NAS to the TV that has only USB port?
Thank you.

No, the NAS cannot function as external drive simply by connecting to its USB port.

I doubt the dns320 usb port can function as usb2go.

Do you know any other way of doing it?

No, it's just not design for such purpose. You should have work out your requirement first, NAS main connectivity is via the Network.

Well, i don't say that it was one of my requirements when i bought it :)
I just started to wonder about it now...as i though that i might use the USB port for it to get even more then i wanted to...
Another question. I do believe that that's the NAS fault but i want to clarify that...
When i turn on video via media player on my PC/TV/Tablet it doesn't allow me to select audio track.
Although there is a video with two audio tracks on it. Russian and English.
BUT! When I open the file directly via the share and start it with any player it gives me an option to switch to another audio track.
I tried to install FFP and then TWONKY onto my DNS-320 but then every time i tried to open a video file on my TV it was saying "Media Playback error" when it works just perfect on the default Media Server.
Is there something i do wrong?
Thanks.
