Title: 404 - Not Found
Post by: Bojangly on August 29, 2012, 06:58:38 PM
Has anyone else seen the following error while using the 505:

On an ipad,
Surfing in safari,
Connected to the strong signal of a Dir-505 configured as a repeater, "repeating" the wifi network of a Dir-825 router on the net via PPPoE.

For a short period of time, no matter what URL I go to, the resulting page says:

404 - Not Found

Or it actually takes me to the Dir-505 Admin Server.

Any more information on this?

How are you connecting the 505 in repeater mode? Is there a host router that your using or is this a public place?

I find that my 505 tends to reboot itself every 10-15 minutes in hotspot mode - have not really used repeater mode much, but there may be some similarities.  I'll get the behavior you describe when this happens.

Supposedly, the new 1.04 firmware fixes this problem.  I am testing it now.  Be sure to do a "reset to factory" (push pin in hole below Ethernet jack and hold until the LED turns red) after upgrading, or else, I found, nothing works right.
